January 25, 2022
The Truckee Home and Building Show has been closely monitoring the news as well as direction provided by federal, state and local governments surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic as it has continued to develop. Because of the uncertainty with the situation and out of an abundance of caution for the health and well-being for our staff, exhibitors and the Truckee-Tahoe community we have reluctantly decided to cancel the 2022 Truckee Home and Building Show.
This advanced cancellation is consistent with many similar events across the country which also draw large numbers of participants and attendees. This decision was made based on direction from state officials and ongoing limitations for large event gatherings. Since 1993 our exhibitors have invested their time, finances and resources into presenting and participating in what has become a Truckee and North Tahoe Memorial Day Weekend tradition. Every year we are blown away by the commitment and effort they put forth to share with the community the very best their organizations have to offer. It would greatly sadden us should our exhibitors make that same commitment this year and for us to be forced to cancel closer to the date of the show.
We encourage you both as businesses and citizens to do your part and pull through the challenges that now face us, while also continuing to care for yourselves and loved ones. We look forward to coming together as a community Memorial Day Weekend 2023 to again carry on the tradition and continue to grow our community.
