Green Building Symposium
Sunday, May 24th, 2014 at 1 p.m.

"Greening Your Home & Property"

Presented by Scott Terrell, Executive Director, Envirolution
Plus special guest speaker Erin Casey, Director of Land Use Compatibility,
Truckee River Watershed Council's River-Friendly Landscaping Program.

Come learn about what one Truckee homeowner did to improve their property, lifestyle and save money by adding green features to his home. Many energy and water efficiency measures along with solar electric (PV) and water heating panels were integrated into this 1970s built home which allows the homeowners to live more comfortably, healthier and without electric bills half the year and low heating bills in the winter. The house and property have installed soil erosion control measures as part of the Truckee River Watershed Council’s River-Friendly Landscaping program.
